Description

This Whipped Artichoke and Feta Dip is a creamy, savory appetizer perfect for parties or a casual snack. Combining whipped feta and cream cheese with garlic, lemon juice, and tender artichoke hearts, this dip is baked until bubbly and golden, delivering a rich and flavorful treat that’s easy to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional, to taste)
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 can artichoke hearts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to prepare for baking the dip after it’s assembled.
  2. Prepare the garlic: Peel the 5 cloves of garlic. Place them in a running food processor via the feed tube to mince them finely in the bowl.
  3. Whip the cheeses and seasonings: Add the feta cheese to the food processor and run it until the feta becomes fluffy and well blended. Next, add the softened cream cheese broken into pieces, the fresh lemon juice, and pepper to taste. Whip the mixture thoroughly until smooth and fully combined. Taste the dip and add salt if needed.
  4. Add artichokes: Chop the artichoke hearts into large chunks and add them to the food processor. Pulse just enough to break them into small, bite-sized pieces without pureeing them.
  5. Bake the dip: Transfer the mixture into a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes until the dip is heated through, bubbly, and emits a delicious aroma.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor balance.
  • You can serve the dip warm or at room temperature.
  • Adjust salt and pepper according to your taste preference.
  • Pair with pita chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
