- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups cornstarch (divided)

- 4 1/4 cups water (divided)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon rose water (or orange blossom water)
- Few drops red or pink food coloring (optional)
Dusting:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch (for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare Sugar Mixture: Grease and line an 8×8-inch square baking pan. Combine sugar, 1 1/2 cups water, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Boil until 240°F is reached.
- Prepare Starch Mixture: In a separate saucepan, combine 1 cup cornstarch, cream of tartar, and water. Cook until thick.
- Combine Mixtures: Slowly pour sugar syrup into starch mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until thick and sticky.
- Add Flavor and Set: Stir in rose water and food coloring. Pour into pan, cool, and let set.
- Cut and Coat: Cut into cubes and coat with powdered sugar-cornstarch mixture.

- Store Turkish Delight in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- Avoid humidity to prevent melting or weeping.
