Description

This Tropical Green Detox Smoothie combines fresh pineapple, banana, mango, spinach, cucumber, and invigorating ginger, blended with coconut water for a refreshing and nutritious beverage. Perfect for a quick energy boost, hydration, and digestion support, this vegan smoothie is both creamy and vibrant with tropical flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana (frozen for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup mango chunks (fresh or frozen)

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 1 cup packed spinach
  • 1/2 small cucumber (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Liquids & Extras

  • 3/4 cup coconut water (or plain water)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (as needed for texture)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all the fresh fruit, vegetables, and liquids as listed. Peel and chop the cucumber, grate the ginger, and freeze the banana ahead of time for creaminess.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place pineapple chunks, frozen banana, mango chunks, packed spinach, peeled and chopped cucumber, grated ginger, lime juice, chia seeds if using, and coconut water into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until all ingredients are fully combined and the smoothie is creamy. Pause to scrape down the sides if needed to ensure even blending.
  4. Adjust Consistency and Flavor: Check the texture and add more coconut water or ice cubes if you prefer a thinner or colder smoothie. Taste and add additional lime juice or grated ginger if you want more brightness or zing.
  5. Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into chilled glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and freshness.

Notes

  • For added protein, blend in a scoop of vanilla protein powder or plain Greek yogurt.
  • This smoothie supports digestion and hydration while providing a refreshing energy boost.
  • Use fresh or frozen mango chunks as per availability to keep the smoothie chilled and thick.
  • Chia seeds are optional but add a boost of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
