Scale
For the Meat Sauce:
1 pound ground beef; 1 small onion, finely chopped; 3 cloves garlic, minced; 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce; 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning; 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Creamy Spaghetti Mixture:
1 pound spaghetti; 4 ounces cream cheese, softened; 1/2 cup sour cream; 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese; 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese; 1 tablespoon olive oil; salt and pepper to taste; chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and return to pot. Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the meat sauce on the bottom. Add the creamy spaghetti mixture on top, then cover with remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- You can swap ground beef for ground turkey or plant-based meat.
- For extra flavor, add a layer of ricotta or use seasoned tomato sauce.
- Great for meal prep—just reheat in the oven or microwave.
