Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh strawberries
- 3 cups Moscato wine
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Roughly slice the fresh strawberries. Using a measuring cup can help you ensure you have the correct quantity as you prepare them. Transfer the sliced strawberries to a blender.
- Add Moscato: Pour the 3 cups of Moscato wine into the blender with the strawberries.
- Blend Mixture: Blend the strawberries and Moscato until well combined, achieving a puree consistency that you prefer. This may range from slightly chunky to fully smooth.
- Pour into Molds: Pour the blended mixture into popsicle molds. The mixture may create bubbles or foam on top, which can make pouring tricky. You can spoon off the foam before filling the molds or wait a few minutes for the foam to settle naturally.
- Optional Moscato Enjoyment: If desired, drink any remaining Moscato wine and enjoy a little kitchen dance while preparing your popsicles.
- Freeze Popsicles: If your molds use wooden sticks, freeze the molds without the sticks for 2-3 hours first. After that time, insert the sticks and return to the freezer for at least 4 more hours, preferably overnight, to fully set.
- Release and Store: To easily release the popsicles from the molds, fill the sink with hot water and briefly (about 10 seconds) immerse the frozen part of the mold. Store the popsicles in a large Ziploc bag for convenience.
Notes
- Allow foam or bubbles on top of the blended mixture to settle before pouring to avoid spillage.
- For wooden stick molds, adding sticks after partial freezing helps keep them upright.
- Use hot water briefly to help release popsicles easily from molds.
- Store popsicles in airtight bags to prevent freezer burn and maintain freshness.
- This recipe contains alcohol and is intended for adults.
