Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- 1–2 cups ice
For Garnish
- Lemon slices
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Blend Strawberries and Lemon Juice: In a blender, combine the hulled and halved strawberries with the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Blend until you achieve a smooth mixture.
- Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the pulp and seeds, ensuring a smooth final drink.
- Sweeten and Mix: Stir in the granulated sugar until it fully dissolves. Then add the cold water and mix well. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more sugar.
- Chill or Serve: Refrigerate the strawberry lemonade for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld, or serve immediately over ice for an instant refreshment.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with lemon slices, fresh strawberries, and optional fresh mint leaves before serving for an appealing presentation.
Notes
- For a sparkling twist, replace some of the cold water with club soda or sparkling water to add fizz.
- Freeze some of the strawberry lemonade into ice cubes to keep the drink chilled without diluting the flavor as the ice melts.
