Ingredients
Scale
Strawberry Lemonade Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup granulated sugar (preferably superfine for easier dissolving)
- Juice of 4 lemons (about 3/4 to 1 cup juice)
- Cold water (still, sparkling, or a mix, to taste)
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Strawberry and lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend Strawberries: Place the halved strawberries, sugar, and enough cold water into a blender to ensure smooth blending. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and well combined.
- Juice Lemons: Squeeze the juice from 4 fresh lemons, measuring approximately 3/4 to 1 cup of lemon juice.
- Strain Mixture: Using a fine sieve over a bowl, strain the blended strawberry mixture along with the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Use a spoon to press the juice through the sieve, removing pulp and seeds. Transfer the pulp-free juice to a pitcher.
- Add Water: Gradually add cold water to the pitcher, stirring and tasting as you go to achieve your preferred lemonade strength and sweetness. Chill the lemonade or serve immediately.
- Serve: Just before serving, optionally add ice cubes and garnish with fresh strawberry and lemon slices to enhance presentation and refreshment.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the sweetest flavor.
- Adjust sugar level based on sweetness of strawberries and personal preference.
- Superfine sugar dissolves quicker and more easily than regular granulated sugar.
- For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the water with sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz.
- Keep the lemonade chilled for best taste and refreshment.
