Description

Create spooky and delicious Spider Web Pretzels, a no-bake Halloween treat featuring pretzel ‘webs’ drizzled with melted white chocolate, topped with mini cookies or truffles as spider bodies, candy eyes, and chocolate legs. Perfect for festive parties and fun edible crafts.

Ingredients

Scale

Spider Web Base

  • 24 mini pretzel sticks

Chocolate and Decorations

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for melting chocolate)
  • 12 mini chocolate sandwich cookies or chocolate truffles
  • 24 candy eyes
  • Black decorating gel or melted chocolate for spider legs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Arrange 6 mini pretzel sticks in a spoke-like formation to create the base for each spider web, spacing them evenly in a circle. Repeat to make 12 spider web bases.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips along with the optional coconut oil in 20-second bursts, stirring in between until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Form the Web: Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag or a zip-top bag, snipping off the corner to create a small piping tip. Pipe the chocolate over the center of the pretzel spokes to hold them together. Then, pipe the chocolate in continuous circular motions outward to mimic a spider web pattern.
  4. Add the Spider Body: While the chocolate is still soft, place a mini chocolate sandwich cookie or truffle in the center of each web as the spider’s body. Press gently to secure it in place.
  5. Decorate the Spiders: Attach two candy eyes to each spider body. Use black decorating gel or additional melted chocolate to pipe spider legs extending outward from the cookie, enhancing the spooky effect.
  6. Set and Serve: Allow the chocolate to cool and set completely at room temperature before handling or serving your spider web pretzels.

Notes

  • Swap white chocolate for dark chocolate or colored candy melts to customize colors and suit your theme.
  • These spider webs make charming edible decorations for Halloween parties and gatherings.
  • For a nut-free version, ensure all candy ingredients are free from nut allergens.
