  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the Rigatoni: Boil rigatoni until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sausage Mixture: Cook sausage, onion, garlic, red pepper, and oregano. Add wine, tomatoes, and paste. Simmer, then add cream, salt, and pepper.
