Description

Spicy Garlic Shrimp Noodles is a flavorful and satisfying Asian-inspired dish that combines tender shrimp with aromatic garlic, zesty ginger, and a spicy kick of sriracha. This quick and easy stir-fry is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces rice noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Garnish:

  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Prepare the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Make the sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  3. Sauté aromatics: Heat sesame oil and vegetable oil in a skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet, cook until pink and cooked through.
  5. Combine: Reduce heat, add cooked noodles and sauce to the pan, toss until coated and heated through.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, cilantro, and lime juice. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can add stir-fried vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or shredded carrots for extra crunch.
  • For a milder version, reduce the sriracha and omit the red pepper flakes.
