Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 38 oz Golden Oreos (two family-size packs)
- 14 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
Coating & Garnish
- 48 oz white chocolate chips (or white candy melts)
- 4 graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
Instructions
- Crush Oreos: In a food processor, pulse the Golden Oreos until they become fine crumbs. Reserve ½ cup of the crumbs for optional garnish later.
- Prepare Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese, pumpkin purée, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix thoroughly until you obtain a smooth, cohesive mixture.
- Form Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt Chocolate: Using either the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, or a double boiler on the stovetop, melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts until smooth and glossy.
- Dip Balls: Remove the chilled balls from the freezer and dip each into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the coated balls back onto parchment paper.
- Add Garnish: Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle the tops with crushed graham cracker crumbs and the reserved Oreo crumbs if desired, for extra texture and flavor.
- Chill Until Firm: Refrigerate the dipped balls until the white chocolate is completely set and firm, about 15–20 minutes. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking during freezing and dipping.
- Can substitute white chocolate chips with white candy melts for smoother coating.
- Store pumpkin pie Oreo balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
- For a more intense pumpkin flavor, add an extra ½ tsp of pumpkin pie spice.
