Description

This Pineapple Strawberry Agua Fresca is a refreshing, naturally sweetened fruit drink perfect for hot days or any time you crave a light, tropical beverage. Blended fresh with pineapple, strawberries, lime juice, and agave nectar, it’s a healthy alternative to sugary sodas and packed with vibrant flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 4 cups fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2–3 tablespoons)

Liquids & Sweetener

  • 2 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the 4 cups of fresh pineapple chunks, 1 1/2 cups of fresh strawberries, 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of agave nectar, and the juice from 1 lime. Blend until the mixture is completely pureed and no large fruit pieces remain. Pause occasionally to scrape down the sides for an even consistency.
  2. Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer set over a large pitcher or bowl. Use the back of a spoon or spatula to gently press the fruit pulp to extract as much juice as possible while leaving the solids behind. This results in a smooth, refreshing drink.
  3. Mix and Chill: Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of water into the strained juice to dilute the concentrate and balance the flavor. Mix well and refrigerate to chill or serve immediately over ice.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, adjust the agave nectar according to your taste preference.
  • Use ripe, fresh pineapple and strawberries for the best natural flavor.
  • To make the drink more refreshing, add ice cubes when serving.
  • Agave nectar can be substituted with honey or simple syrup if preferred.
  • This recipe can be doubled or halved easily depending on your serving needs.
