Description

This rich and creamy Peanut Butter Ganache combines smooth peanut butter and melted chocolate for a decadent glaze, drizzle, or dip. It’s a quick and easy stovetop recipe that can be used as a frosting, truffle filling, or topping for your favorite desserts. The ganache thickens as it cools and can be customized with vanilla extract, salt, or honey for extra flavor and shine.

Ingredients

Scale

Ganache Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Be careful not to let it boil to prevent scorching or separating.
  2. Combine with Chocolate: Remove the cream from heat and pour it over the chocolate chips placed in a heatproof bowl. Allow it to sit undisturbed for 2–3 minutes to soften the chocolate.
  3. Stir Until Smooth: Stir the mixture gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth and glossy.
  4. Add Peanut Butter: Incorporate the creamy peanut butter by stirring it into the melted chocolate mixture until fully blended and shiny.
  5. Enhance Flavor: If desired, add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to deepen the flavors. Stir to mix well.
  6. Cool and Use: Let the ganache cool slightly before using it as a glaze, drizzle, or dip. The ganache will thicken as it cools and can also be whipped or chilled for frosting or truffle filling.

Notes

  • For a thicker ganache, reduce the amount of cream slightly or chill the mixture longer before use.
  • Use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy for added texture and crunch.
  • Add a tablespoon of honey for extra sweetness and a glossy finish.
