- 3 large peaches, diced
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Dice the peaches into small, bite-sized pieces. Finely chop the red onion. Seed and mince the jalapeño. Chop the fresh cilantro to ensure all components are prepped and ready for mixing.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the diced peaches, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro together, laying the foundation for the salsa’s flavors.
- Add Seasoning: Squeeze the juice of one lime evenly over the mixture. Then sprinkle the sea salt and black pepper to enhance the overall taste.
- Toss and Serve: Gently toss all ingredients until they are thoroughly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve the salsa immediately or refrigerate for a chilled and refreshing option.
Notes
- For a milder salsa, remove all seeds from the jalapeño.
- Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
- Refrigerating the salsa for at least 30 minutes helps the flavors to meld.
- This salsa pairs wonderfully with grilled chicken, fish, or tortilla chips.
- Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
