Additional Ingredients:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
- Mix the batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.

Notes
- For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking.
- These muffins freeze well for up to 2 months.
