Description

  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Additional:

  • 3 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Coat the Chicken: Toss the sliced chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet, cook chicken until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: Sauté garlic and ginger, add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer.
  4. Combine and Finish: Return chicken to the skillet, toss with sauce until coated. Cook until sauce thickens. Garnish with green onions and serve over rice.
