			Cheese
- 1 round (8-ounce) brie
Topping
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the brie.
- Prepare Brie: Place the brie round in a small baking dish or pie plate. Lightly score the top of the brie with a knife to help access the melted cheese after baking.
- Bake Brie: Bake the brie in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until it is warm and slightly softened.
- Make Maple Pecan Topping: While the brie bakes, combine light brown sugar, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat, then stir in the chopped pecans.
- Top Brie: Pour the warm maple-pecan mixture evenly over the baked brie.
- Serve: Serve the baked brie immediately with assorted crackers, bread, fresh fruit, or roasted nuts for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure not to overbake the brie; it should be soft but not completely melted and collapsed.
- You can substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if preferred.
- Serve with apple slices or pear wedges for a delightful pairing.
- For easier slicing, allow baked brie to cool slightly before serving.
- Use light brown sugar to keep the topping balanced and not overly sweet.
