Description

These Little Caesars Crazy Puffs are a delicious homemade appetizer featuring soft, golden-baked biscuit dough stuffed with melted mozzarella cheese and seasoned with garlic and Italian herbs. Served with savory marinara sauce for dipping, they make a perfect snack or party treat that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crazy Puffs

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

For Serving

  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the puffs.
  2. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and separate the 8 biscuits. Flatten each biscuit piece slightly with your hands or a rolling pin to make it easier to wrap the cheese inside.
  3. Add Cheese: Place a small cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit.
  4. Form Crazy Puffs: Carefully fold and pinch the edges of the biscuit dough around the cheese cube to seal it completely, forming a small round puff.
  5. Season the Puffs: Place the formed puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the melted unsalted butter over each puff. Sprinkle garlic powder, dried Italian seasoning, and optionally grated Parmesan cheese over the puffs for extra flavor.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to pinch the biscuit dough well to prevent the cheese from leaking during baking.
  • You can substitute mozzarella with other cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • For a crispier texture, broil the puffs for the last 1-2 minutes of baking but watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Use low-fat cheese and butter for a lighter version.
  • These puffs are best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes if needed.
