Description

For the Lamb Kofte:

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling or pan-frying)


Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, grated onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Shape Kofte: Divide the mixture into 8 portions, shape into oval patties or onto skewers. Chill for 15–30 minutes.
  3. Cook Kofte: Preheat grill or pan, cook kofte for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  4. Serve: Enjoy hot with pita, yogurt sauce, or salad.

  • Can be frozen raw or cooked
