Description
These Irresistible Cheesecake Crescent Rolls combine flaky, buttery crescent dough with a smooth, sweetened cream cheese filling, topped with a cinnamon-sugar glaze for a perfect breakfast or dessert treat that’s quick and easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Cheesecake Filling
- 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent the rolls from sticking during baking.
- Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ½ cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Roll Out the Dough: Unroll both cans of crescent roll dough and carefully separate them into individual triangles along the perforations.
- Add the Filling: Spoon about 1 to 2 teaspoons of the cheesecake filling onto the wider end of each crescent dough triangle, distributing the filling evenly.
- Roll & Seal: Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle toward the point to enclose the filling. Place each rolled crescent, seam side down, onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix ¼ cup granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Brush the tops of each crescent with the melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over them.
- Bake: Bake the crescents in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown and puff up.
- Cool & Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the crescent rolls to cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For best results, make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps.
- You can substitute the granulated sugar in the filling with powdered sugar for a smoother texture.
- These crescent rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Reheat slightly in the oven or microwave before serving to restore softness.
- To make it a more decadent dessert, drizzle with melted chocolate or serve with fruit preserves.
