Description

These Indoor S’mores Bars combine the nostalgic flavors of classic s’mores in an easy-to-make, no-bake treat perfect for anytime snacking. Golden Grahams cereal coated in melted marshmallow and butter, with gooey chocolate chips mixed throughout, create a deliciously sweet and crunchy dessert bar that satisfies your s’mores cravings without a campfire.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 box Golden Grahams cereal (12 oz.)
  • 2 bags mini marshmallows (10 oz. each)
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Spray a 13×9-inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside for later.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pan over medium-high heat, melt the 6 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the two 10-ounce bags of mini marshmallows. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and well combined. Then, remove the pan from heat.
  3. Mix in Cereal and Chocolate Chips: Quickly add the entire box of Golden Grahams cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture. Carefully stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture. Immediately add the 1 1/2 cups of milk chocolate chips and gently stir just enough to distribute the chocolate chips evenly without melting them.
  4. Press into Pan: Transfer the mixture into the prepared 13×9-inch pan. Using lightly greased hands or a spatula to avoid sticking, press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan so it holds together securely.
  5. Cool and Set: Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature until firm. This can take about 30-40 minutes.
  6. Slice and Serve: Once set, slice the mixture into 24 bars. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later enjoyment.

Notes

  • For easier handling, lightly grease your hands or use a spatula to press the mixture into the pan.
  • If desired, you can add chopped nuts or additional mix-ins before pressing into the pan.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
  • To make the bars more portable, wrap individual bars in parchment paper.
  • Use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate for a less sweet option.
