Description
This Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte is a refreshing and cozy beverage combining the warmth of cinnamon and the natural sweetness of honey with the robust flavor of espresso, served chilled over ice for a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and spiced notes.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Honey-Cinnamon Syrup
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Latte
- 1 shot espresso or very strong coffee
- 1-2 tablespoons honey-cinnamon syrup (adjust to taste)
- ½ cup milk
- Ice (enough to fill the glass)
Instructions
- Prepare the Honey-Cinnamon Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup water, ¼ cup honey, and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 3 minutes until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld.
- Brew the Espresso: While the syrup is simmering, prepare one shot of espresso or brew a very strong coffee using your preferred method.
- Assemble the Latte: Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour the brewed espresso over the ice. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the warm honey-cinnamon syrup according to your taste preference.
- Add Milk: Pour ½ cup of milk over the espresso and syrup mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients and chill the latte evenly.
- Serve: Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for extra aroma and garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced honey cinnamon latte.
Notes
- You can substitute the honey-cinnamon syrup with pure honey if preferred, though the syrup blends better.
- For a dairy-free version, use almond, oat, or soy milk instead of regular milk.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey-cinnamon syrup added to the latte.
- Espresso can be replaced with very strong brewed coffee if an espresso machine is unavailable.
- For an enhanced flavor, try warming the milk slightly before adding it to the drink if you prefer a less cold latte.
