			Salmon and Seasoning
- 2 pounds salmon fillet with skin on or off, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Glaze
- ¼ cup hot honey
Instructions
- Prepare Oven and Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Season Salmon: In a large bowl, place the salmon pieces. Drizzle with the olive oil and gently stir with a spoon to coat all pieces evenly. Then sprinkle the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper over the salmon and stir again to ensure every piece is well-seasoned.
- Bake Salmon: Transfer the seasoned salmon pieces to the prepared baking sheet, arranging them in a single layer with space so the pieces are not touching each other. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes until the salmon is almost cooked through.
- Add Hot Honey and Broil: Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Using a spatula, push the salmon pieces together into a single pile. Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the salmon and carefully stir to coat all pieces thoroughly with the glaze.
- Broil for Finish: Spread the salmon pieces back into a single layer on the baking sheet. Set the oven to broil and broil the salmon just until it turns golden brown, watching closely to avoid burning. This adds a beautiful glaze and slight crispiness to the exterior.
- Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and serve hot. These bites pair wonderfully with rice, fresh avocado slices, cucumbers, and additional honey drizzled on top if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh salmon for best texture and flavor.
- Be careful during broiling as the hot honey can burn quickly; watch closely.
- You can adjust the amount of hot honey to increase or decrease sweetness and spice level.
- To make smaller portions, cut salmon into smaller pieces but reduce baking time slightly.
- Serve immediately for best taste and texture.
