For the Ground Beef:
- 1 pound ground beef (85/15 or leaner)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bowls:
- 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup steamed broccoli florets
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and pepper. Cook to combine flavors.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide rice among serving bowls. Top with seasoned ground beef, carrots, broccoli, avocado, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
