Description

Create a festive and fun Grinch-themed charcuterie board perfect for holiday gatherings. This colorful platter features fresh fruit, cheese, licorice, and crackers arranged artistically to resemble the Grinch’s face, making it both visually appealing and deliciously bite-sized for guests.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 banana
  • 8-10 strawberries
  • 1 black grape

Dairy

  • A piece of cheddar cheese

Other

  • 4 licorice candies
  • Some crackers to serve

Instructions

  1. Prepare the kiwi: Rinse the kiwis under cool water, remove the tough ends, and slice them into thin circles.
  2. Slice the cucumber: Slice the cucumber into circles similar in size to the kiwi slices and arrange them on a board forming two half circles.
  3. Form the Grinch’s face: Arrange the kiwi slices into an oval shape on the board to represent the Grinch’s face. Use a cookie cutter to cut a circle from the cheddar cheese, cut it in half, and shape these halves into eyes. Add licorice pupils and place a black grape for the nose.
  4. Create eyebrows: Use black licorice to form arched eyebrows above the eyes.
  5. Make the hat: Lay out banana slices in an arc above the cucumber to represent the “fur” of the hat. Then arrange strawberries to form the red part of the hat. Add a banana slice as the pompom at the hat’s tip. Use sliced licorice to make a smiling mouth.
  6. Finish and serve: Place crackers around the board edges for serving. Add mini forks or toothpicks for easy picking, and your Grinch Charcuterie Board is ready to delight your guests!

Notes

  • Use fresh fruit for the best flavor and appearance.
  • Adjust quantities depending on the size of your serving board and the number of guests.
  • For a dairy-free option, substitute cheddar with a plant-based cheese.
  • Keep fruits refrigerated until just before serving to maintain freshness.
  • Mini forks or toothpicks help guests easily pick up pieces.
