This Golden Parmesan Crusted Chicken recipe is a flavorful and crispy dish that is perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner. The combination of Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and seasonings creates a delicious coating for tender chicken breasts.
Ingredients
Scale
Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Coating:
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Egg Mixture:
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
Others:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Pound Chicken: Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch.
- Prepare Coating: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In another bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to help it adhere.
- Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Transfer to a plate and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, finish the chicken in a 400°F oven for 5–7 minutes after pan-frying.
- Serve with a side salad, roasted vegetables, or over pasta.
