Instructions
- Prepare baking dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray and set it aside to be used later for pressing the mixture.
- Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla: Stir the creamy peanut butter into the melted marshmallow mixture until fully incorporated. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Combine with cereal: Quickly pour the marshmallow-peanut butter mixture over the crispy rice cereal in a large mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly until every piece of cereal is evenly coated with the mixture.
- Press into pan: Transfer the coated cereal mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a greased spatula or wax paper to press and smooth the top evenly for a uniform layer.
