Instructions
- Prepare the Macaron Shells: Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Combine powdered sugar and almond flour in a food processor, pulse, and sift. Beat egg whites until foamy, add cream of tartar, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in vanilla extract, food coloring, and dry ingredients. Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe rounds onto baking sheets.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake macarons for 14–16 minutes. Let cool.
- Fill: Pair shells of similar sizes and fill with buttercream or ganache. Sandwich together and refrigerate before serving.
