			Brownie Base
- 1 box (18 oz) brownie mix (includes eggs, oil, and water as specified on the box)
Coating
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate candy melts
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Garnish (Optional)
- Sprinkles
- Cocoa powder
- Chopped nuts
Instructions
- Prepare Brownies: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box to prepare the batter, adding eggs, oil, and water as required. Pour the batter into a baking pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool and Crumble: Allow the baked brownies to cool completely. Once cooled, crumble the brownies into fine pieces using your hands or a food processor.
- Form Truffle Balls: Roll the crumbled brownie mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set and firm up.
- Melt Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips or candy melts together with the vegetable oil in 20-30 second intervals, stirring well each time until smooth and fully melted.
- Coat Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing the truffle back on the parchment paper.
- Decorate and Set: While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle with optional garnishes such as sprinkles, cocoa powder, or chopped nuts. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate is fully set.
Notes
- Ensure the brownies are completely cool before crumbling to prevent the mixture from becoming too sticky.
- Adding vegetable oil to the chocolate helps create a smoother, shinier coating.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- You can experiment with different coatings such as white chocolate or dark chocolate for variety.
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract or a pinch of salt to the brownie batter.
