Chicken:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
BBQ Sauce Mixture:
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Mix BBQ Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Pour over the chicken.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Shred Chicken: Remove chicken, shred with forks, return to sauce, and let sit on ‘warm’ for 10–15 minutes.
- Serve: Enjoy on buns, wraps, or over rice.
