Instructions
- Prepare the vegetables: Wash and dice cucumbers and tomatoes. Peel and finely dice the red onion. If using green chilies, finely chop them and remove seeds for less heat.
- Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the diced cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, chopped green chilies, and fresh cilantro.
- Add lemon juice and seasoning: Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the vegetable mixture. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper, then toss well to combine all flavors evenly.
- Adjust and garnish: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala or roasted cumin powder on top for an added burst of flavor. Serve immediately to enjoy maximum crispness.
