Description

A delightful Colombian Pineapple Sauce recipe that combines the tropical sweetness of fresh pineapple with a tangy twist, perfect for adding flavor to hot dogs, grilled meats, or arepas.

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple (diced)
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice

Seasonings:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine diced pineapple, pineapple juice, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. Cook Sauce: Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan. Add the blended mixture, simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Cool and Serve: Remove from heat, let cool. Serve warm or chilled as a topping for hot dogs, grilled meats, or arepas.
