Description

This Coffee Panna Cotta is a smooth, creamy dessert that combines the rich flavors of coffee and cream into a delicate, gelatin-set treat. Perfect for coffee lovers, it offers a luxurious texture and a subtle sweetness balanced by the boldness of cold brew coffee. Simple to prepare with few ingredients, this panna cotta is an elegant dessert to impress your guests or enjoy as a comforting indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Panna Cotta

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold brew coffee
  • 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat the Cream and Sugar: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  2. Bloom the Gelatin: Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over 1/4 cup of cold water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the water and soften, forming a gelatin bloom.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Add the bloomed gelatin and cold brew coffee to the warm cream mixture. Stir continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  4. Pour and Chill: Pour the panna cotta mixture into ramekins or molds. Place them in the refrigerator and chill for at least 6 hours or until set firmly.
  5. Serve: To unmold, briefly dip the bottoms of the ramekins into warm water for a few seconds to loosen the panna cotta. Invert onto serving plates and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use cold brew coffee for a smooth, concentrated coffee flavor without bitterness.
  • Do not boil the cream mixture as it may affect the gelatin setting.
  • Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved to avoid grainy texture.
  • You can garnish with cocoa powder, coffee beans, or whipped cream for extra flair.
  • Once set, panna cotta can be refrigerated up to 2 days before serving.
