			Jelly
- 2 cups strong brewed coffee (or espresso)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cold water
For Serving
- ½ cup heavy cream or sweetened condensed milk (for serving)
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the powdered gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water. Let it sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to absorb the water and soften.
- Heat the coffee mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brewed coffee and granulated sugar. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Dissolve gelatin in coffee: Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until it is fully dissolved and no granules remain.
- Set the jelly: Pour the coffee-gelatin mixture into a square or rectangular dish. Let it cool at room temperature for a while before covering and refrigerating it for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve: Once the jelly is set, cut it into cubes. Serve the coffee jelly cubes in dessert glasses topped with a drizzle of heavy cream or a spoonful of sweetened condensed milk for a creamy finish.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream or almond milk.
- Adjust the strength of the coffee and the amount of sugar according to your taste preference for a more or less intense coffee flavor.
- This dessert is best served chilled and enjoyed fresh.
