Description

These festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles are a deliciously easy holiday treat made from Little Debbie vanilla Christmas tree cakes, cream cheese, and coated in white chocolate. Decorated with red and green accents, they make perfect bite-sized desserts for holiday parties or gift-giving.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 10 vanilla Little Debbie Christmas tree cakes
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz almond bark or white chocolate candy melts

Decorations

  • Red food coloring
  • Green sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the truffles from sticking.
  2. Crumble Cakes: In a mixing bowl, crumble the vanilla Christmas tree cakes into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the cake crumbs and mix using a hand mixer until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency.
  4. Form Balls: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon measure to form uniform balls, then place them on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze the balls for 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark or white chocolate candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
  6. Dip Truffles: Remove the cake balls from the freezer one by one and dip each into the melted chocolate, tapping off any excess coating. Place back onto the baking sheet.
  7. Decorate: Drizzle red food coloring over each truffle and immediately sprinkle with green sanding sugar to create a festive look. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.
  • If almond bark is not available, use good-quality white chocolate candy melts for coating.
  • Work quickly when dipping truffles into melted chocolate to prevent melting or sticking.
  • Store finished truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • These truffles can be frozen after coating for longer storage; thaw before serving.
