Base Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
- 2 cups dry roasted peanuts (salted or unsalted)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup red and green holiday M&M’s
- Holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Melting the base: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and white chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract to incorporate flavor evenly.
- Mixing add-ins: Add the dry roasted peanuts and mini marshmallows to the melted peanut butter and chocolate mixture. Stir well until everything is thoroughly coated and evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Folding in M&M’s: Gently fold in the red and green holiday M&M’s, reserving a few to sprinkle on top of the clusters later if desired.
- Forming clusters: Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, shaping them into small clusters or mounds for easy serving and bite-sized treats.
- Topping and setting: While the clusters are still soft, top them with the reserved M&M’s and holiday sprinkles to enhance the festive look. Let the clusters set at room temperature for about 1 hour, or optionally refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes until firm and ready to serve.
Notes
- These clusters can be made several days in advance and stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- For a different flavor twist, use almond or cashew butter instead of peanut butter.
- The recipe can be easily doubled to make more clusters, perfect for gifting or larger holiday parties.
