Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Chicken Wraps with a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a satisfying lunch or main course. Tender chicken strips seasoned and cooked to perfection, wrapped in soft tortillas with fresh vegetables and melty cheese, all elevated by a creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Wraps

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

For the Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken strips with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Cream Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Whisk in the flour and cook for another minute to form a roux. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Allow the sauce to thicken for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  3. Warm the Tortillas: Slightly warm the flour tortillas to make them pliable, either in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: On each warm tortilla, layer shredded lettuce, diced tomato, thinly sliced red onion, the cooked chicken strips, and shredded cheese. Drizzle generously with the garlic cream sauce.
  5. Wrap and Serve: Fold the tortillas over the filling and roll tightly to form wraps. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can use grilled chicken for a smokier flavor or swap in rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Add avocado slices or hot sauce for extra flavor and creaminess.
  • The garlic cream sauce also works well as a dipping sauce for other dishes.
