  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain excess grease.
  3. Prepare the filling: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. Assemble the casserole: Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish, top with tater tots in a single layer.
