- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain excess grease.
- Prepare the filling: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Assemble the casserole: Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish, top with tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Add remaining cheddar cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes.
