Rollups
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic Butter Mixture
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
For Serving
- Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and Italian seasoning if using. Mix well to blend the flavors.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles on a clean surface.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Lightly brush each dough triangle with the prepared garlic butter mixture, coating the surface evenly for flavor.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over each buttered triangle to ensure every bite is cheesy.
- Roll Up: Roll each triangle starting from the wide end towards the point, creating a spiral filled with cheese. Place each rollup point-side down on the lined baking sheet to secure the shape.
- Brush Tops: Brush the tops of the rollups with additional garlic butter mixture for extra flavor and a beautiful golden finish.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the rollups to cool for a few minutes after baking. Serve them warm with marinara sauce for dipping if desired for a delicious appetizer or snack.
Notes
- You can substitute shredded cheddar or provolone cheese for a different flavor profile.
- For an indulgent twist, add a small slice of pepperoni or ham inside before rolling the dough.
- These rollups are excellent served as a party snack or alongside pasta dishes as a tasty side.
