This Charcuterie Holiday House Chalet is a festive and delicious appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. Featuring a flavorful pizza dough base filled with a rich blend of cream cheese, Italian dry salami, Parmesan, and sharp white cheddar, it is adorned with aromatic rosemary and crunchy salad toppings for a stunning presentation and delightful taste. It’s a perfect centerpiece for your charcuterie board that guests will love to nibble on.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Cheese Filling

  • 26 oz Pizza Dough
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese
  • 6 oz Parmesan Cheese, shredded
  • 10 oz Sharp White Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Meats

  • 0.75 lb Italian Dry Salami, thinly sliced

Toppings and Garnishes

  • 1/2 cup Asian Sesame Ginger Salad Topping
  • 8 sprigs Rosemary
  • 2 Wheat Thin Crackers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to form the base of the chalet. Shape the dough to create the house structure by folding and trimming as needed.
  2. Mix the Cheese Filling: In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Parmesan, and shredded sharp white cheddar until smooth and well mixed.
  3. Assemble the Chalet: Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the shaped dough base. Layer the thin slices of Italian dry salami evenly on top of the cheese spread.
  4. Form the Chalet: Use remaining dough portions to construct roof and walls on the main dough base forming a chalet shape. Press edges to seal and ensure structure before baking.
  5. Bake the Chalet: Place the assembled charcuterie house on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Garnish and Finish: Once baked and slightly cooled, sprinkle the Asian sesame ginger salad topping over the chalet for crunch and flavor. Insert rosemary sprigs for decoration to mimic a festive holiday chalet environment. Serve with Wheat Thin crackers on the side.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese to make mixing smoother.
  • For best results, slice salami thinly to layer evenly.
  • If pizza dough is frozen, allow to thaw completely before shaping.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature for optimal flavor experience.
  • Rosemary sprigs not for eating, used for decorative purpose only.
