Description

This Cajun Chicken with Creamy Cajun Sauce recipe is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a cozy dinner. Tender chicken breasts are seasoned with Cajun spices and served with a rich and creamy sauce that has a spicy kick.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Creamy Cajun Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness and pat dry with paper towels. Season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, add chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and simmer briefly. Garnish with parsley and serve with preferred sides.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
