Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Seasoning
- 1 pound Chicken Tenders (boneless chicken breasts or thighs also work)
- 2 tablespoons Blackened Seasoning (pre-made or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons Oil (olive or avocado oil)
Buns and Spreads
- 12 pieces Hawaiian Slider Buns (or dinner rolls)
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s Golden Mustard (or regular honey mustard)
- 2 tablespoons Butter (softened for easy spreading)
- 2 teaspoons Garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Parsley (chopped)
Toppings
- 8 slices Bacon (pre-cooked strips save time)
- 4 slices Colby Jack Cheese (or any mild cheese)
- 1 cup Lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1/2 cup Red Onion (optional)
- 1 cup Roma Tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken: In a bowl, combine chicken tenders with blackened seasoning and oil. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes to infuse maximum flavor.
- Cook Chicken: Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken approximately 3 minutes on each side until fully cooked and with a nice char.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter with chopped parsley and minced garlic. Slightly melt this mixture for easy spreading later.
- Toast Buns: Slice the Hawaiian slider buns in half. Place them cut side up under a broiler for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown—watch closely to avoid burning.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread mayo on the bottom buns. Layer with cooked chicken, drizzle honey mustard, and add a slice of cheese.
- Finish Sliders: Spread garlic butter on the top buns and broil until cheese melts and bubbles. Top sliders with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and drizzle with remaining honey mustard.
- Serve: Place tops onto sliders, slice in half, and serve warm for the best flavor experience.
Notes
- Pre-cooked bacon strips can save time during assembly.
- You can substitute chicken tenders with boneless thighs or breasts if preferred.
- For a lighter spread, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
- Keep a close eye while broiling buns to prevent burning.
- If you prefer spicier sliders, add a dash of hot sauce to the honey mustard mixture.
