Description

For the Bars:

  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Topping:

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, and egg to form a soft dough.
  3. Press and Layer: Press the dough into the baking dish. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips and toffee bits on top.
  4. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing. Add optional sea salt.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips or add chopped pecans.
