Gumpaste Poker Chip Tutorial

Materials
Gum paste (red, blue)

Red and Black Floral Fondant Birthday Cake
I used pre-colored red and black Satin Ice fondant for this cake. The flowers were made with a set of metal flower cutters. I simply layered the flowers and added a bit of texture to them with a toothpick.

“Painting” A Cake Tier With Luster Dust

Pink and Brown Baby Shower Cake
This cake was made for a baby shower. It’s covered in pink vanilla and chocolate fondant. There is pink cake inside the chocolate fondant tier and chocolate cake inside the pink tier. The inside is filled with vanilla buttercream and fresh sliced strawberries. The baby booties and rattle are made with gumpaste.

A Basketweave Wedding Cake
This cake is decorated with buttercream using the basketweave technique and then roses were placed to add some color. Tip: always make sure your flowers are fresh and pesticide free before placing them on a cake!
Brush Embroidery Cake and How-To
Brush embroidery is actually pretty simple. Outline a shape such as a flower with buttercream. Then take a damp paint brush and carefully drag the outline of buttercream in towards the center. I used a tip 3 for the above cake.
