This is my fabulous Chanel cake that I made for a girls night!  Easy and impressive!  Below you can see how I made the chain for this purse.  After I made the base chain, I painted it with gold luster dust and then attached little strips of black fondant between each chain link to mimic fabric.  Enjoy!

You will need a small ball of gum paste. Roll the gumpaste into a thin cylinder and then use 2" sections of the cylinder to form the links. Pinch ends together to seal them.

    I actually get my gold luster dust from fondantsource.com. I believe it is just their store brand. It works super great!
