Make sure your cake is crumb free like the one pictured above! See my tutorial for icing your cake as well as my tutorial for getting the perfectly smooth and flawless frosting before you begin to decorate.
Using your icing bag fitted with a round tip (#12), pipe a vertical row of dots on your cake. Take the edge of your spatula and gently drag the icing horizontally for each dot. Continue pattern around the cake.
Top your beautiful cake off with a handmade gumpaste rose! It only takes about 10 minutes to make this fabulous rose and you can learn how to do-it-yourself by visiting my tutorial! I added a bit of sparkle to it with luster dust. Try adding fresh flowers to give it a new twist.
